Project overview
AquaGrow Systems is an aquaponics greenhouse in Oregon that grows fresh vegetables and fish together in one closed-loop system
AquaGrow Systems is a 200,000 m² (about 49 acres) aquaponics greenhouse in Oregon, designed and built by GreenGrow. Fish and vegetables share a single closed-loop water system: fish waste feeds the plants, and the plants filter the water before it returns to the fish tanks.
The system grows leafy greens, tomatoes, and peppers alongside freshwater fish such as trout. Because water is continuously recycled, the facility uses far less water than conventional farming and needs no synthetic fertilizer.
“Aquaponics turns one input into two harvests,” said Mark Clark De, CEO of GreenGrow. “AquaGrow proves the model works at commercial scale.”
Continuous monitoring of water quality, temperature, and oxygen levels keeps both fish and plants healthy. Fresh vegetables and fish are sold to local markets, restaurants, and grocery partners across the Pacific Northwest.
